Europe-Cuba Forum participates in LASA Congress 2019

On Saturday, May 25, as part of the LASA 2019 Congress - Our America: Justice and inclusion, a round table will be attended by collaborators and experts who make up the Jean Monnet Forum Europe – Cuba consortium.

In the meeting, the transformations and challenges in Euro-Cuban relations will be discussed. Also, the consequences of the Trump Administration's decisions and new blockades to the island, the renegotiation of the Cotonou-Agreement and its effect on the Caribbeans, the crisis of CELAC and other regional agencies, as well as the difficulties in concluding the EU-CELAC Summit. Further discussions will focus on the effects of Brexit or the possible consequences of a trade war, as well as the social, political and economic changes that Cuba is currently experiencing and its new positioning in international trade-
